The Cory Report

Leave Granted In Finucane Family Review
At Belfast High Court this morning (20.01.2004) leave was granted to the family of murdered Belfast solicitor Pat Finucane in their legal action to force full disclosure of the Cory report to the family. The Secretary of State now has three weeks to provide detailed reasons why the UK government refuses to disclose the findings and recommendations of the investigation carried out by the Canadian judge. In four weeks time the case will go to a full hearing in the judicial review proceedings.
